Obesity is associated with chronic diseases. The hype surrounding weight loss medications or injections is considered a miracle cure, but do they also help to combat chronic diseases in the long term?
Patients who take such medications have been overweight for a long time. Even if they successfully lose weight, they would not be able to get rid of their chronic illnesses. Rather, there is a risk that short-term weight loss will worsen existing, often undetected, chronic heart/circulatory and kidney illnesses. "Slimmer, but sicker" is not a sensible result!
Without molecular monitoring of proteomic analysis, there is no radical weight reduction, no matter how healthy or overweight you are!
